I have the solution to a zero crime Philippines.
Manny Pacquiao should have a match EVERYDAY.
I'm serious.
Last Monday, I read a newsreport that on the day of Manny Pacquiao's fight with Eric Morales*, the Philippines had zero crimes. Everybody, even the hardened criminals, were busy watching the fight on tv.
*As I'm blogging this, I'm not quite sure if he fought with Eric Morales. Obviously, I was the only one not tuned to the tv. Nobody in my household watched the fight. My parents were having home serviced massages, my sister and I were online, my little brothers were watching cartoons. We only found out Pacquiao won when we went to Church and the priest announced that Pacquiao won.

yes. it was a re-match with morales =) and like you, i wasn't tuned in to the fight. i heard about pacquiao's victory only through some raucous cheers that erupted at the resto that i was having lunch in.
haha, if that'll solve our staggering crime rate, then, poor pacman....he'd be black and blue 365 days a year!
funny naman ng priest :p
my bro and cousins even went to this buffet in palm's clubhouse with tvs all over the place specifically for the fight.
ang saya2x :)
What an interesting idea...you use structured violence to stop violence. Hmmm...
a news reporter also made a similar comment, but in relation to politics.
i didn't care much about the game. i really don't get these sports that just invite injury. except maybe for martial arts, because there's some grace involved.
yeah, but that will kill manny. ha ha.
He would get tired. We need to clone him. ;)
plus, am already tired of news on Pacquiao
i mean, i was ecstatic about the phenomenon (no people in the streets) but...
:D oh and that would mean we'd see Mike Arroyo and Chavit Singson everyday too :)
Hahaha yeah! That'll definitely lower the crime rate. It'll lessen traffic too.
